Vietnam - transport

In a word – crazy. In Hanoi, millions of scooters and motorbikes, often with the whole family on board. And some of the loads that were carried were staggering. The best I saw was a man on a motorbike, with 10 full water bottles (the big ones that go in water dispensing units) – three behind him, three hanging off either side and the tenth on his lap. Too slow to get a photo though.  Not quite as hectic in the countryside, but just as interesting loads.

Lots of the women wear these helmets, specially designed for ponytails....
